Moooovies is life!!! - My movie list inspiration.
I've wanted to share something that's not only related to makeovers and my ideas as stylist. Also because in another life, I think I could have been a really great food or movie critic!!!
Just a fun list of movies that I have watched recently. Feminine and empowering movies to watch and just a brief explanation of why I loved the movie.
If you have some time on your hands, well with covid we all have more time on our hands, and you have not yet watch any of these films and series on my list, make some popcorn, pour a glass of wine and endulge in my must see movie list.
I'm no movie critic, but I do watch alot of movies, it's my escapism and how I like to wind down, and how I like to forget about the troubles of the world.
Let me start with a recent movie that I've watched. BIG EYES - Tim Burton.
Now if you are a Tim Burton fan, you won't even question why it's a must see. This is the story of Margaret Kaene, a famous artist, who allowed her husband to take claim and fame for her work, famously known as big eyes. The movie is a 2014 release, and I have watched it before, but I watched it again, because it was that good and luckily my memory fails me some times. I'm glad I couldn't remember it as I so enjoyed watching it again. Amy Adams was wonderful for the role and she truly takes you in, and shows you how vulnerable we sometimes are when we want to be loved. Margaret has raw talent, but life did not treat her kindly and when Walter Keane walks into her life, she truly believed that he could save her.. The rest is history, as they would say, and you can imagine what happens when your talent and heart is in the hands of a narcassist. Anyway this is a great watch, when you are alone and you maybe have been in a similar situation. I know I have so that's maybe why this movie was so fabulous. I'm also a sucker for anything 1950's.
The second movie that I would like to share today, is a western!! But by saying that, this is really not your ordinary western. The movie is with Dikota Fanning as the lead. It's called Brimstone, and my goodness, was this a shocker of a film. Again, not a new release, the release year was 2017. I don't think it's a very popular film, or a blockbuster but it sure had me on the edge of my seat.
Look, if you do not enjoy something disturbing you might skip this one, but it's not disturbing in a horror type of way, it's just an evil man, played by Guy Pierce, taking complete control of an innocent soul. It's also the fine line between good and evil and how religion can be the excuse for so much dark and evil. This movie is only to be watched when you are in a good state of mind, because I do think it can leave you rather depressed, but for me, it was defnitely a worth to watch.
I'm going to share some more of my favourite movies (there are 100's) and if you have some comments, please share them with me, I would like to hear from you guys..
